WhatsApp is available in Hello Hotel as an early-access channel. Once it's connected for your property, you can message guests on WhatsApp right from your shared inbox, alongside SMS, calls, and your other channels.
What You Get
WhatsApp in your shared inbox — guest WhatsApp messages arrive in the same Conversations inbox as everything else, so your team works from one place.
Two-way messaging — reply to guests on WhatsApp without leaving Hello Hotel.
Built on Telnyx — the same infrastructure that powers your texts and calls.
How Setup Works Today
WhatsApp connects through your own WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). Right now we set this up with you directly — we connect your WhatsApp Business Account to Hello Hotel and confirm messaging is working before you go live.
Self-serve setup, where you connect WhatsApp yourself from your settings, is on the way. Until then, our team handles the connection for you.
Requesting WhatsApp for Your Property
Want WhatsApp turned on? Reach out and we'll get you set up:
Start a chat with us from the ? menu in the bottom-right of the app, or
Email [email protected]
Let us know you'd like WhatsApp enabled, and we'll walk you through the few details we need to connect your account.
Message Templates
WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates for messages your property starts (as opposed to replies inside a conversation the guest opened). Hello Hotel handles that in-app:
Write a template on the Templates page and submit it for approval
Track its approval status on the same page
Once approved, send it from the composer like any other message
Good to Know
You keep your own WhatsApp Business Account. WhatsApp runs on a Business Account tied to your property, so your guests see your business when they message.
Early access means it's still growing. Core messaging works today; we're actively building out the self-serve setup and additional features. If you run into anything, reach out to support and we'll help.
