Connecting your property management system is one of the most important setup steps. Once connected, Hello Hotel automatically pulls in your guest contacts and reservation data — so when a guest calls or texts, your team immediately sees who they are, when they’re staying, and their reservation status.
Hello Hotel currently integrates with Mews. Additional PMS integrations (Cloudbeds, Guesty, and more) are coming soon.
Before starting, grab your Mews API credentials. You’ll need:
Client Token — found in your Mews Commander under Settings → Integrations
Access Token — generated when you create or enable the Hello Hotel integration in Mews
If you’re not sure where to find these, ask your Mews account administrator or check the Mews documentation for creating API integrations.
In Hello Hotel, go to Settings → Integrations
Click Connect Mews
Enter your Client Token and Access Token
Click Save to connect
Hello Hotel will immediately test the connection. If the credentials are valid, you’ll see a success confirmation and the initial sync begins automatically.
After connecting, Hello Hotel pulls in your existing guest data from Mews. This includes:
Guest contacts — names, phone numbers, and email addresses
Reservation data — stay dates, room numbers, and reservation status
Guest status labels — each contact is automatically tagged as Future, Checking In, In-House, Departing, or Past based on their reservation timing
The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on how many reservations are in your Mews system. You can check progress under Settings → Integrations.
After the initial sync completes, verify everything looks right:
Go to Contacts and check that your guest list has populated
Open a few guest profiles and confirm their reservation details match what’s in Mews
Check that guest status badges (Arriving, In-House, etc.) look correct for today’s date
If contacts are missing or status badges seem wrong, try triggering a manual resync from Settings → Integrations.
After the initial sync, Hello Hotel stays in sync with Mews automatically. When a new reservation is created, a guest checks in, or contact details are updated in Mews, the changes flow into Hello Hotel in real time.
Changes made to guest contacts in Hello Hotel also sync back to Mews — the connection is two-way.
Connect Mews early in setup. Your guest contacts power everything else — caller ID, status filters, conversation context. The sooner you connect, the more useful the app is from day one.
Check your phone numbers in Mews. Hello Hotel matches guests by phone number. If phone numbers are missing or incorrect in Mews, those guests won’t be automatically identified when they call or text.
One integration per organization. Each Hello Hotel organization connects to one Mews property. If you manage multiple properties, create a separate organization for each one.
