To receive forwarded calls on your personal cell phone, you need to verify your phone number in Hello Hotel. This is a one-time setup per team member.
When your team sets up call routing, they can choose to forward calls to a team member’s personal phone (the Personal notification method). Verification confirms that the number actually belongs to you — it prevents accidentally forwarding calls to the wrong person.
Without a verified number, you can still receive calls through the Hello Hotel app, but calls can’t be forwarded to your cell.
Go to Profile → Phone Number
Enter your personal cell phone number
Hello Hotel sends a verification code via text to that number
Enter the code in the app to complete verification
That’s it. Your number is now verified and available for call forwarding.
Once verified, your team’s admin can add you to routing steps with the Personal notification method. When it’s your turn in the routing sequence, the incoming call forwards to your verified cell number.
The caller still sees your Hello Hotel number as the caller ID — they don’t see your personal number.
If you get a new phone number, go to Profile → Phone Number and update it. You’ll need to verify the new number the same way. The old number is automatically removed from the routing setup.
Verify even if you work on-site. Having your cell as a backup means you’ll catch calls if you step away from the app.
Use press 1 to accept. If your admin has enabled call forwarding to your number in the routing setup, ask them to turn on Require press 1 to accept. This prevents calls from accidentally going to your personal voicemail — see Setting Up Call Routing for details.
This is your personal number, not the hotel’s. Verification is for your cell phone — the number where you want forwarded calls to ring. It’s separate from your organization’s Hello Hotel phone number.
